2026 Wasco Rose Festival

Roses Along A Country Road
The Wasco Rose Festival Parade, themed “Roads Along A Country Road” for 2026, is a vibrant highlight of the annual festival. This lively procession features colorful floats, the Wasco High School and middle school marching bands, the Rose Queen and Court, and local groups like the Kern County Sheriff’s Posse and Wasco FFA. With over 50 entries and 450 participants in 2025, including businesses, schools, and nonprofits, the parade draws thousands of spectators, celebrating Wasco’s community spirit and rose-growing heritage.
The Wasco Rose Festival, a beloved tradition since 1969, is vital to preserving the cultural heritage of Wasco, California, the "Rose Capital" that produces 55% of U.S. roses. This annual event strengthens community bonds through shared celebrations like the Rose Queen Pageant, parade, and vendor fair, fostering pride and unity across generations. By honoring its roots and engaging locals and visitors alike, the festival ensures Wasco’s legacy of roses and togetherness endures.
